Testimonials

Over the past couple of years, I have trained with Mars consistently. The knowledge of basketball and the skills he helped me developed were a main reason as to why I made my varsity high school basketball team. Mars is reliable, friendly, and will do anything to help his players improve. I remember when I did not have my driver's license, Mars would come to my town about 25 minutes away to pick me up and drive me back and forth. I not only regard Mars as a basketball trainer, but also as a friend.

Evan Anslow, Marlboro High School Graduate, Student Athlete

"If you have any kind of interest in playing the game of basketball, and want to get better at it, go to John. Your fundamentals skills will improve and by the time your training is over you will become a better player. John is a true professional with integrity, passion, composure and motivation."

Ruth Ann Martinelli, Parent

“John helped our son Shawn by identifying his strengths and weaknesses. He provided motivational pep talks as well as challenging drills on the court. As working parents, John was very accommodating and was easy to communicate with in reference to his goals for training our son. Our son enjoyed working with him and we highly recommend his services to those who are willing to work hard, play hard and have fun while doing it! Thanks again John.”

Bobby and Tiffany Bautista, South Brunswick, NJ

Martin Whitfield, NBA Entertainment, Former Men's Basketball Player, University of Texas-San Antonio

“Before John started working with my child, his basketball skills were lacking in technique.  After 9 months of training, my son was able to execute his layups correctly, dribble with confidence and make his foul shots.  Thank you John for taking the time to show my son what he is capable of doing.”

Tonja Walcott, Somerset, NJ

“After working out with John over the past couple of years, I improved my fundamental skills and learned several new moves that helped me become a more versatile player at Piscataway High School. He also taught me a lot about the mental intangibles of the game. His training helped me win the Middlesex County Player of the Year award in high school and continues to assist me at the Division 1 college level.”

Raven Gerald, Women's Basketball Player, UMBC

“Mars has been working with my middle school and high school kids for sometime now.  The thing that Mars brings to the youth that nobody else does is that he focuses on getting each kid he works with better at their weaknesses.  He takes every aspect of the game and breaks it down at a fundamental level to reach every child he trains.  He is a great motivator and leader.  He brings more then basketball training to our youth. He teaches them teamwork, dedication, and the fundamental of life that will make them one day successful future leaders.”

Rodney Harris, Head Basketball Coach, South River High School.

"Competitive by nature, positive by style. John Celestand is able to bring the best out of his players to enable them to elevate their game to the next level. He is a great basketball trainer who is very upbeat, positive and is able to make hard work fun. Don't miss out on the opportunity to improve your game!"
